The Angel skin armor system was built to replace the Land Warrior system which was in standard use with the Nilpntze Military.
It was designed to be superior in every aspect when compared to the land warrior system, it would need to be able to link with the COMNET network and would need to be able to meet 3 totally different criteria.
- Army The W.L.A has a large force which is used in multiple scenarios, causing them to need a strong yet multi-purpose uniform.
In desiging the army's variant, called the V-1H, durability and protection were the main priority with decent emphasis over mobility. The wearer is protected with standard 3 inch thick leg and shoulder pads and a full torso vest, made of ________. The pads and vest are capable of withstanding the majority of assult weapons.
The uniform also adds to the wearers protection housing a layer of chain armor capable of stopping most pistol rounds and fragmentation inbetween the cloth of the uniform.
The Mask protects the wearers head and filters the oxygen he breathes running it through an analisys check for harmful agents, which if it detects it uses back up oxygen to breathe (Only 2 hours). It also comes standard with a simple communications set, uplinking the suit to the nearest (Within 150 miles) command vehicle. This allows the commander the ability to update soldiers of new objectives within seconds.
Since the uniform lacked the ability to connect many large attachments a large specific built backpack was designed to go in conformity with the unifrom.
However a full combat load along with the combined weight from the uniform makes the suit praticaly inmobile, as early tests shown. After the tests shown the need for higher mobility, instead of making the load lighter they made the wearer stronger by adding a fully robot device which attaches to the legs and back of the wearer, giving them the ability to carry upto an extra 550lbs.
