Killentak city, the capital city of Nilpnt.
Population: 364,000,000. (Est)
Total Area: 5723.4 Sq Miles.
Overview:
Killentak city was built on Mount Killen, standing only 13,000 feet tall (Once 13,627 ft) the mountain and surrounding area have been fully inhabited.
From 10,000 feet down until 3 miles away from the wall people live, work and go about their daily buisness. The remaining land between the city and the wall is used for heavy agriculture.
From 10,000 feet until 11,500 feet the presidental palace is carved into the mountain, covering it on all sides and running deep within.
The last 1,500 feet has been flatened off to house a fully mobilized, mixed forces military installation. Here is where the primary ABM protection for the city is located.
The only way to enter Killentak city is through the front gate which houses a 12 lane entrance highway and 4 lane exit highway. If the gate ever closes the roads will be destroyed.
Defence:
Surrounding Killentak city limits are walls, built throughout the last 130 years. The walls are built entirely of concrete bricks of various sizes and covered in concrete with thick strands of steel running throught it (First 10ft only) making them especially resistent to damage. These walls stand 270 feet tall and are nearly 250 feet wide. Atop the walls are a constantly deployed force of specially trained and equiped forces for defending the city.
The top 20 feet of these walls house the equipment (Computers, etc) needed to operate the systems for defending the city. A reinforced tunnel system runs througout the entire wall system, connected into the Nilpntze defence Network, and alloys soldiers to move from point to point quickly.
There are several hundred thousand snipers rooms, only three by three feet, running throughout the entire wall, from 100 feet and up.
To reach the top of the wall there are several thousand lifts which act as elevators for personell and equipment. These lifts only make three trips a day, unless otherwise commanded.
Wall statistics.
Length: In acess of 25,000 Miles.
Strength of motor of lifts: 17,844 HP.
Strength of motor of gate: 755 HP.
Total Manpower needed to construct: 121,422,000 people.
The walls construction began at the end of the republic era and ran throughout the communist era, where widespread slave labor took place. Nearly 14.7 Million people died in what would later become known ad the Era of Darkness.
